The grade classification of LED anti-static voltage and the precautions to improve the LED anti-static ability

1、  According to the international standard at present, what is the grade classification of LED anti-static voltage? What does it illustrate?

LED can refer to the voltage grade classification of the authoritative International Electrostatic Association (ANSI) standard:

Level 0  <250V

The anti-static ability is very very poor, very vulnerable to be damaged by static electrostatic, quality is poor, death is unable to control, it does not have anti-static ability in the general environment.

Level 1A  250-500V

The anti-static ability is very poor, very vulnerable to be damaged by static electrostatic, quality is poor, death is unable to control, it almost does not have anti-static ability in the general environment.

Level 1B  500-1000V

The anti-static ability is poor, also will be subject to the damage by static electricity, the quality is poor, the death is occasional. There are no strong anti-static ability.

Level 1C  1000-2000V

The anti-static ability is general, and generally not susceptible to damage by static electricity, some strong electrostatic will damage LED, quality is general.

Level 2 2000-4000V

The anti-static ability is good, less susceptible to damage by static electricity, the static electricity will not damage the LED in the general environment, the quality is preferable.

Level 3A  4000-8000V

The anti-static ability is good, it is difficult to damage by static electricity, it will not damage the LED under the strong electrostatic environment, the quality is good.

Level 3B  >8000V

The anti-static ability is very good, it is difficult to damage by static electricity, there is no electrostatic damage, the quality is very good.

2、  How to effectively improve the LED anti-static ability? What are the precautions?

There are no direct precautions to improve the LED anti-static ability, or when the LED is produced, its anti-static indicators are confirmed, there is no way to improve its anti-static index.

If the LED anti-static ability is not high, we can consider the introduction of some electronic products anti-static measures: such as anti-static table mat, ion fan, electrostatic clothes etc.

In general, to improve the anti-static ability of LED, the only way is to replace of the high anti-static ability LED chips.
