The way and special equipment to test LED anti-static ability

1、  What kind of way is to evaluate and test LED anti-static ability?

To evaluate LED anti-static ability, many companies are determined by the way that uses to see the consequences through the trials, actually this is a long period, large error, high cost, high risk assessment method, these companies in the LED anti-static part are often bought half lesson, and it is a last ditch approach under the circumstance that doesn’t know more LED anti-static test.

Even some people, with a plastic bag, throwing in some LEDs, blowing a breathe, pinching the pocket socket, shaking for a moment, get out to see whether is dead or not, the validity, accuracy of the method seems to have no academic accreditation, but this is a last helpless method. Using the pointer type multimeter to test the reversed resistance of LED, to some extent, this is a relative smart method, small resistance shows that LED anti-static ability is poor, but, in the fact, once the anti-static is on the 500V LED, it can’t judge using this method, it has a certain reference significance to judge some very poor indicators. It has a large limitation, and also do not accord with the relative standard. This is just a personal experience to judge.

It is the most standard, scientific, objective and direct way to use relative anti-static test equipment. There are not many equipments to test the anti-static indicator of electronic components in the market at present, but high voltage electrostatic instrument to test electronics product is  innumerable, there is a difference between the two. Should be noted.

2、  Is there special equipment to test LED anti-static ability? And is is the same as the resistance to high pressure test, electrostatic discharge test (Electrostatic Discharge Simulator) of electronic products?

LED anti-static indicator only uses the specialized semiconductor anti-static simulation tester to test.

It must be applied the static electricity to the two pins of LED when doing LED anti-static test, the discharge waveform of instruments have strict standards. Even if 10KV directly effects on the human body when uses the instrument, human almost has no feeling.
