Test standard for waterproof test chamber

What is the waterproof test chamber used for? In fact, it is an instrument used to conduct an IP waterproof test on the product. It tests the physical and other related properties of the product by simulating the natural rain environment. It is applicable to the test to check whether the electrical products, shells and seals can guarantee the good performance of equipment and components in the rain environment.

The waterproof test chamber, also known as waterproof detector and waterproof test equipment, is mainly used to test the physical and other related properties of electronic and electrical products, lamps, electrical cabinets, electrical components and other products with small size under the simulated rain weather conditions. After the test, determine whether the performance of the product meets the requirements through verification, so as to facilitate the design, improvement, verification and delivery inspection of the product. Comply with IEC60529:2001 Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code), IEC60598-1, GB4208-2008 Clause 14.2.8 of Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code) and GB7000.1 Clause 9.2.9 of Lamps Part I: General Requirements and Tests.

Working principle of waterproof experimental instrument:
Test the physical and other related properties of the product under the environment of simulating natural rain. After the test, the performance of the product is judged to meet the requirements by verification, so as to facilitate the design, improvement, verification and delivery inspection of the product.

Classification standard of waterproof test equipment:
0: No protection level
1: Prevent water dripping in the vertical direction, which shall have no harmful effects.
2: Prevent water dripping in the vertical direction when the shell is inclined at 15 °, and there shall be no harmful effect.
3: Water spraying prevention: when the vertical surface of the shell is within 60 °, there is no harmful effect.
4: Water splashing is not harmful.
5: Prevent water spraying, and spray water in all directions of the enclosure without harmful effects.
6: Strong water spraying shall be prevented, and strong water spraying in all directions of the shell shall have no harmful effects.
7: Prevent the impact of short-term immersion, and the water inflow of the shell will not be affected after immersion in the water under the specified pressure for the specified time.
8: It is described in the national standard GB/T4208 to prevent the impact of continuous immersion: the water inflow of the shell will not reach harmful level after continuous diving according to the conditions agreed by the manufacturer and the user (which shall be more severe than Level 7).
9: Prevent the influence of high temperature/high pressure water spraying, and the high temperature/high pressure water spraying in all directions of the shell has no harmful effect.

The waterproof test chamber is divided into 1-9 conventional waterproof grades. These equipment can be customized according to the user’s needs and specifications.
