Importance of IP waterproof grade test

For the waterproof grade test, the industry mainly manufactures the corresponding waterproof test equipment according to the standard GB4208-2008/IEC60529-2013.

Why should enterprises attach importance to IP protection level testing? Here are three reasons:
1. National mandatory regulations (GB4208-2008)
Careful friends will see that the standard starts with GB, not GB/T or other letters. GB represents a national mandatory regulation. All electrical equipment that needs to be protected by enclosure shall pass the test of this standard.

2. Relevant regulations of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEV60529-2013)
The manufacture of waterproof test equipment also refers to the relevant standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC60529-2013 (IEC60529-2001 was replaced in 2013). Problems needing attention in IPX12 dripping test:
The customer needs to pay attention to some small details when doing the IPX12 drip test.
1. During the IPX12 test, the tested shell is not placed at the center of the turntable, and the eccentricity (the distance between the axis line of the shell and the axis line of the turntable) is 100mm.
2. During the IPX2 test, the table supporting the housing does not rotate. If the table is rotating during the test, it is not up to the standard.

Details of IPX34 swing pipe water spray test equipment?
When IPX34 is tested in the rain, several small details should be noted: when all parts of the housing cannot be completely wetted during the test, it can be solved by adjusting the turntable up and down. If the experimenter has a hand-held shower test device, the water spraying nozzle shall be used preferentially for the test. In addition, when conducting IPX4 water spraying test, if the relevant product standards do not specify, the turntable should have holes to prevent it from becoming a water baffle. When the shower device is used for testing, the distance between the nozzle and the tested sample shall be 300~500mm.
