When doing humidity test, it is necessary to choose different ways to increase the humidity in the humidity chamber according to the different test requirements. Generally, there are four ways to choose. They are spray humidification, boiler humidification, shallow tank humidification and supercooled steam humidification. These four methods are different in humidification mode and principle, and their effects are also different.
The temperature and humidity environmental test chamber, also known as the climate test chamber, is a commonly used environmental simulation system and equipment in laboratories and factories. The environmental test chamber is used to test the performance stability of materials or products under various environments by simulating high temperature, low temperature, damp, dry and other natural environments.
How to increase the humidity in the humidity chamber?
The humidity indicators given by environmental test chambers at home and abroad are mostly 20~98% RH or 30~98% RH. If there is no dehumidification system in the damp heat test chamber, the humidity range is 60~98%. This type of test chamber can only do high humidity tests, but its price is much lower. It should be noted that the corresponding temperature range or the lowest dew point temperature should be indicated after the humidity index. Because the relative humidity is directly related to temperature, for the same absolute humidity content, the higher the temperature is, the smaller the relative humidity will be. For example, the absolute humidity content is 5g/Kg (meaning that 1kg dry air contains 5g of water vapor). When the temperature is 29 ℃, the relative humidity is 20% RH, and when the temperature is 6 ℃, the relative humidity is 90% RH. When the temperature drops below 4 ℃, the relative humidity exceeds 100%, condensation will occur in the box. To achieve high temperature and humidity, it is only necessary to spray steam or atomized water droplets into the air of the chamber for humidification.
Spray humidification: spray mist to the inner wall of the working room through the nozzle to achieve humidification effect. Advantages: It is used when the heat of the sample is large. When the water mist diffuses into the box, it increases the water pressure in the box, thus increasing the relative humidity. Disadvantages: When spraying water, the water will pollute the test piece; The humidifying speed is slow, which does not meet the needs of the alternation of humidity and heat; Water spraying will increase the burden of accumulated water in the tank and increase the drainage pressure.
Boiler humidification: the steam boiler generates steam, which is transferred to the interior of the working room to achieve humidification effect. Advantages: add water vapor directly to the working room. Disadvantages: steam humidification will increase the heat in the box, which is not conducive to the temperature control in the box.
Shallow tank humidification: use the water in the shallow water pan with heating device installed in the working room to supplement steam to the box. Advantages: The water heated in the shallow water pan increases the water vapor to the working chamber through convection and diffusion, thereby increasing the relative humidity. Disadvantages: Since the exchange and convection of water pressure always exist, the humidity will always increase to the working room, and it is difficult to obtain a low humidity environment.
Supercooled steam humidification: use ultrasonic, high-pressure water mist, centrifugal spray and other methods to convert water into water mist. Advantages: The heat obtained from the environment is converted into water vapor, which increases the humidity. Disadvantages: high cost.
