This paper described the basic principles and methods of the distributive radiation method for measuring ultraviolet radiation flux. And analyzed and discussed the cosine fixed problem ultraviolet detectors.

Introduction:

Ultraviolet radiation is the radiation of the light of which the wavelength range is between 10 and 400 nm. Within this wavelength range, the ultraviolet radiation with different wavelengths has different effect. In the research and application, the ultraviolet radiation is often divided into: A band (400 ~ 320 nm); B band (320 ~ 280 nm); C band (280 ~ 200 nm); Vacuum ultraviolet wavelengths (200 ~ 10 nm). The ultraviolet radiation of which the wavelength is less than 200 nm can not spread in the air due to the atmospheric absorption.

The development and application of uv light source are at a period of high- speed development, the constant research and development of the uv light source gradually fill the varieties blank of the light source. The existing series of different types of ultraviolet light source products include ultraviolet mercury lamp, uv metal halide lamp, fluorescent lamp, other uv light source and so on.

A remarkable characteristic of ultraviolet ray is that it has the biological (light biological safety) effects, which means when ultraviolet radiation biology goes into the human body; it can cause physiological changes of the human body or organisms. For example, after the ultraviolet radiation going into the human body, it makes the skin produce pigmentation and then becomes black. The ultraviolet radiation bacterial species soon go to death after the radiation of shortwave uv. After accepting certain radiation of shortwave uv, the human body will enhance the disease- resistant ability, strengthen skin regeneration ability, and speed the hair growth, etc. Especially the short wave (peak wavelength λ = 253.7 nm), the uv light source has a strong biological effect, and has the characteristics of no pollution, convenience, energy saving etc, characteristics. So both international and domestic departments in biology, medicine, sanitation and epidemic prevention widely use the radiation disinfection, sterilization of the wavelength.

At present, uv light source usually uses the ultraviolet irradiation to measure a surface irradiation (unit: W/m2) to indicate the ultraviolet light source and the ultraviolet intensity size. The ultraviolet radiation flux is used to indicate the application of the air sterilization, water treatment, photochemical reaction; the more important is to know the space range of ultraviolet light, and even the size of the ultraviolet radiation intensity of the whole space.

There usually have two kinds of methods to measure the uv light source of radiation fluxes. The first method is to use the standard lamp with the known radiant flux within the integrating sphere to compare with the measured lamp in order to set the radiant flux of the measured lamp. Because the absorption of the inside coating of the integrating sphere, the ultraviolet reflex of the coating is quite low. In addition, stimulated by the ultraviolet ray, the organic solvents and glue of the coating will produce the fluorescence effect, the inside coating of the integrating sphere must use the appropriative ultraviolet high reflection diffuse materials. Another method is to use distributive radiation meter to measure the irradiation of the project radiation source in all directions of the space, and calculate the flux. The former method is simple, but the measurement accuracy is lower than the latter.
