Composition and function of environmental test equipment

Environmental test equipment is the general name of all test chambers simulating natural climate environment. The representative equipments include salt spray test chamber, high and low temperature test chamber, constant temperature and humidity test chamber, ultraviolet aging test chamber, xenon lamp aging test chamber, ozone aging test chamber, etc.

The environmental test equipment mainly consists of the following parts:
1. Refrigeration system
The refrigeration system is one of the key components of the integrated test room. The refrigeration system of the constant temperature and humidity box is composed of two parts, called the high temperature part and the low temperature part. Each part is a relatively independent refrigeration system. Evaporation of the refrigerant in the high-temperature portion absorbs heat from the refrigerant from the low-temperature portion; Evaporation of the low-temperature portion of the refrigerant is absorbed from the cooled object (air in the test chamber) to obtain an ice amount.
2. Control system
The control system is the core of the comprehensive test room, which determines important indicators such as temperature rise rate and precision of the test room.
3. Heating system
The heating system of the test chamber is relatively simple relative to the refrigeration system. It is mainly composed of high-power resistance wires. Due to the large temperature rise rate required by the test room, the power of the heating system in the test room is relatively large, and the bottom plate of the test room also has a heater.
4. Humidity system
a. Humidification system: the humidification method of the test room usually uses steam humidification, which means that low-pressure steam can be directly injected into the test space to humidify. This humidification method is good and fast, especially when it is cooled, it is easy to be humidified.
b. Dehumidification system: the dehumidification methods of the laboratory are generally divided into two types: mechanical cooling dehumidification and dry dehumidification
5. Sensor system
The sensors are mainly temperature and humidity sensors. Temperature sensors have more applications of platinum electrochemistry and thermocouples. There are two methods for measuring humidity: wet and dry bulb thermometer and solid-state electronic sensor.
6. Airborne circulation system
The air circulation system usually has a centrifugal fan and an electric motor driving it. It provides air circulation in the test chamber.

With the rapid development of industry and the improvement of military equipment, the requirements for product quality and reliability are higher and higher, so more and higher requirements are put forward for reliability research equipment – Environmental test equipment.

Environmental testing reflects the following functions:
1. Explore and determine the impact of single or multiple environmental factors on products, and assess the environmental adaptability of products;
2. As one of the type test items of the product, or the acceptance test of the product, whether it meets the specified environmental requirements and whether the product is qualified can be used as the decision-making basis for product acceptance or rejection.
3. Conduct product environmental stress screening (ESS) test to screen unqualified or potentially defective products, so as to improve product reliability.

Environmental test equipment is to expose products to natural environment or artificial simulated environment to evaluate their performance in storage, transportation and use and special environmental conditions. Through environmental testing, manufacturers can be provided with information on design quality and product quality, which is an important means of quality assurance.

After the measurement, it is judged whether the performance of the product meets the requirements through verification, so as to facilitate the design, improvement, verification and factory inspection of the product. Comply meets IEC60529:1989 +A1:1999 +A2: 2013 <Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)>,IEC60598-1,  GB2423.37-89 (Test L: dust test methods), GB4208, GB/T 4942.2-93(protective casing grade of low-voltage apparatus), GB7000.1 <Luminaires Part 1: General Requirements and Tests> 9.2.1, 9.2.2 and Figure 6, DIN40050 and IP5K0. The dust test chamber is applicable to the IP5X and IP6X dustproof test of the products.
