Internationally, the USA, Germany and Japan and other countries starts early in the LED testing instrument, and forms certain characteristics. In the domestic, the development of LED testing instrument is very rapid, and has developed successfully all the testing instruments of the LED chips, light-emitting materials, LED tubes, LED lamps and lamps(Lamp Test) etc. in the industry, including laboratory research instruments, automatic detection in production line and sorting equipment and the instruments to test the products’ quality. Measurement indicators include: spectrum, luminosity, chroma(CHROMA-2), radiation, electric parameters, thermal resistance, reliability and life parameters(LED Optical Maintance and Life Test System).
In the aspects of laboratory research and quality testing instruments, it can basically meet the general needs of domestic LED products development. The price of domestic instruments has a comparative advantage, it is only a fraction of imported instruments, which plays a positive role to improve the product quality in initial stage of the domestic numerous medium and small LED enterprises. However, due to the technical level of some instrument manufacturing and the knowledge gap of LED measurement standards, the instrument measuring results have obvious difference between various manufacturers. Typically, such as the axial measurement of light emitting diode, the measurement results have compared difference ubiquitously. For the same LED tubes, the measurement results of two manufacturers may be more than 10%, or even tens of percent error, far exceeds the general photometric measurement (photometric sphere)accuracy range.
