LED Lighting development in future

LED is short for light emitting diode. It is one kind of semiconductor diodes, which can convert electrical energy into energy. With the technology development, LED lighting applications are more and more. How is the development trend in future? For lamps, it mainly has intelligent lighting, agricultural and horticultural lighting, wireless control device and people-oriented lamps.

Lamps combine with Internet of things, which makes some special application possible. Base on family intelligent, more and more demand for smart devices, for example, smart mobile devices also can control many household appliances switches.

Intelligent lighting is an important part of intelligent household category. Since Apple iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablet grow popular, intelligent lighting is getting closer to the ordinary consumer’s home, from intelligent bulbs to intelligent lamp holder and intelligent control box products exposure. Philips Hue bulbs appears, open the magical veil of common household intelligent lighting scene changes firstly, which opens a new chapter for low consumption, environmental protection, dimming and color matching.

With the development of LED intelligent, we can see LED intelligent products everywhere, from indoor to outdoor, from commercial lighting to household lighting, and to electrical products, everything even a humble bulb is intelligent. Intelligent products is general trend and popular.

For lighting technology, indoor agriculture is demand for sustainable food supply chain. LED can provide suitable wave length for indoor agriculture, light relative narrow spectral band, optimize plant chlorophyll absorption and stimulate plant to strengthen photosynthesis, greatly improve the plants and vegetables production. This application is widely used, which is a new development direction in future.

Indoor agriculture can reduce carbon emission by effective light source in a sense; place the food growth habitat near the consumers or restaurants to reduce carbon emissions during transportation. Indoor agriculture can be organic, in relatively claustrophobic environmental, limit harmful insects to see plant by harmonic color and spectrum, which can eliminate some applications of pesticides or insecticides. Indoor agriculture can reduce water evaporation and the overall consumption of water for irrigation.

LED has application advantages in plant lighting, fisheries applications (fish lamp), livestock, UV applications (cure, disinfection, sterilization and beauty), infrared applications. LED industry in future will gradually extend to health and health care etc.
