Correlated color temperature of different luminaires.

The color is more closed to blue, the temperature is higher, and closed to red, the temperature is lower. The light color of the sun also changes over time in a day. 40 minutes after the sunrise, the light color is yellow and the CCT is 3000K; before the sunset, the light color slants red and the CCT decreases to 2200K. Other luminaires of correlated color temperature, because that CCT in fact is the value of light color performance of the luminaires when the blackbody radiation is closed to the color of luminaires, not a precision comparation of color, so with the same CCT of two luminaires, which may be same difference in the light color appearance. Only CCT can not understand the capacity that luminaire is to object, or reproductivity that object color is in the luminaire.

Correlated color temperature in different luminaires environment:

The northern sky: 8000-8500K

Cloudy day: 6500-7500K

The summer sunlight at noon: 5500K

Metal halide lamp: 4000-4600K

Sunlight in the afternoon: 4000K

Light cool color camp: 4000-5000K

HPM:3450-3750K

Light warm color lamp:2500-3000K

Halogen lamp: 3000K

Tungsten lamp: 2700K

HPSL: 1950-2250K

The candle light: 2000K

The correlated color temperature of luminaire is different and the color of light is also different. CCT below 3300K has the modest atmosphere and warm feeling; CCT between 3000K and 5000K is the medium CCT, with a cool feeling; CCT up to 5000K has cold feeling. Different color in different light source composed of the best environment.
